ACTH ist im EDTA-Plasma relativ stabil. Als Indikationen sind derzeit zu sehen:
- Hund, Katze: Zur Therapiekontrolle des adrenalen M. Cushing und der Diagnostik des iatrogen M. Cushin
- Pferd: Morbus Cushing, da beim Pferd fast ausschließlich hypophysär bedingt. Therapiekontrolle (Pergolidtherapie)
